Products Description
1. Installation Methods
DCPZ series spring-loaded electromagnetic disc brakes adopt horizontal caliper installation as standard, vertical mounting can be customized for equipment with limited horizontal space. The installation dimensions conform to general industry standards and match standard brake discs for hoists, cranes, metallurgical and port machinery.
Standard Horizontal Installation
Fasten the brake base firmly to rigid equipment brackets with high-strength bolts. Center the caliper body on the brake disc and keep the caliper perpendicular to the disc working surface, so that friction pads on both sides maintain equal symmetrical clearance to avoid unilateral dragging, overheating or abnormal disc wear.
Mount the DC electromagnet horizontally at the side of the caliper. Ensure the armature push rod moves parallel to the brake disc without deflection, delivering stable magnetic traction when energized.
Reserve sufficient space on both sides of the brake disc for friction pad replacement, clearance fine-tuning and routine inspection.
The built-in balanced guide mechanism automatically keeps consistent pad clearance during long-term operation, lowering frequent manual adjustment work.
Optional Vertical Installation
Applicable to reducer output shafts, reel ends and compact layouts lacking horizontal space. Custom vertical transition brackets are required for assembly. After installation, check the reset spring tension and armature stroke to prevent incomplete braking or slow release.
Key Installation Requirements
All sliding guide sleeves are maintenance-free self-lubricating structures with no regular greasing needed.
Completely wipe off oil, rust and dust on the brake disc before commissioning; oil contamination will seriously reduce friction coefficient and braking capacity.
Adjust single-side pad clearance via built-in fine-tuning screws, standard clearance range: 0.5–1.0 mm per side.
Fail-safe working principle: Power-on, DC electromagnet generates magnetic force to pull the caliper open and release the brake; power-off, preloaded main springs push friction pads to clamp the disc for instant safety braking.
Isolate electromagnetic coils from splashing water, heavy dust and corrosive gas to avoid coil burnout.
Standard power supply: DC24V / DC110V / DC220V; integrated rectifier module optional for direct AC input.
2. Standard Matching Accessories
Core Functional Supporting Parts
DC Electromagnet AssemblyExclusive driving component for DCPZ brakes. Optional built-in rectifier type supports AC220V/380V input without separate external rectifier.
Manual Release DeviceHand-operated lever for emergency brake opening during power failure or static equipment maintenance.
Position Limit SwitchesDetect fully-clamped and fully-released brake states, transmit real-time feedback signals to the control system for safety interlock and fault alarm.
Consumable Spare Parts
Quick-replace friction padsEnvironment-friendly non-asbestos wear-resistant friction blocks with snap-in clamping design; pads can be replaced individually without removing the whole caliper. Semi-metallic pads are optional for heavy-load and high-frequency braking conditions.
Adjustment & Fastener KitContains clearance adjusting screws, spring preload nuts, locking bolts and sliding guide sleeves for periodic parameter recalibration.
Spare DC Coils & Rectifier ModulesFor replacement when coils age, burn out or rectifier circuits malfunction.
3. Optional Custom Accessories
Flameproof electromagnets and explosion-proof limit switches for coal mines, chemical plants and other flammable & explosive hazardous areas.
Custom transition brackets specially designed for vertical installation layouts.
Dust and splash-proof protective covers for outdoor, mining and cement plant high-dust working sites.
Anti-corrosion coating and stainless steel fasteners for coastal, humid and salt-fog corrosive environments.
Buffer damping assemblies to reduce impact, vibration and noise under frequent start-stop cycles.
