At present, the crane brakes in most factories use double-watt brakes. When it is necessary to open or brake, start and stop by electromagnet suction, discharge or oil pump, compress or release the elasticity of the brake spring, so that the brake tile leaves the brake wheel or clips on the brake wheel to meet the requirements of opening or braking. When there is an out-of-gear, slip hook accident (generally occurs when lifting a large weight), several staff responsible for crane monitoring will use tools such as crowbars to increase the brake tile pressure on the brake wheel, to achieve the purpose of emergency braking, to prevent accidents or reduce accident damage. In some accidents, the staff responsible for monitoring the bridge also took these measures, but did not achieve the corresponding effect. On the contrary, due to the brake rupture and brake debris flying out, resulting in the death of the guardianship.
The mechanical personnel responsible for monitoring the work use crowbars and other tools to increase the pressure of the brake plate, and thus increase the braking effect of the practice comes from practical work, and has no theoretical basis. In fact, when the crane lifts a large weight and is out of gear, the starting motor and the drive shaft will fall with the acceleration of the weight, and the brake wheel on the drive shaft will also produce a strong radial vibration force. At this time, the crane brake action is closed, the brake tile will be subjected to a huge radial impact, which is the theoretical value of the brake design, if the brake tile artificially increases the pressure on the brake wheel, the brake tile itself will be a huge impact will be greater, so the risk of exceeding the brake tile collapse will increase, the risk of personnel under brake pressure can be imagined. Therefore, it is not recommended to use tools such as crowbars to increase the pressure of the brake tile on the brake wheel, so as to achieve the purpose of emergency braking.
