In a crane, there are many parts that occupy a very important role. We are more familiar with bearings, wheel sets, couplings, hook sets and so on. But what everyone tends to overlook is the brake. It is actually one of the very important roles. Without it, it is difficult for the equipment to stop normally.
In fact, brakes are not only used in lifting equipment, but also play a very important role in port handling and construction machinery. However, some problems may also occur during use, which affects its normal use. It is more common that the brake fails.
There are many reasons for this phenomenon. This situation is prone to occur when the hydraulic oil inside the brake master cylinder is lacking. In addition, when the apron is aging, deformed, or the compensation hole is blocked, the brake may fail. This happens when the brake shoe wears due to long-term use, air has entered the brake system, the brake gap is too large, and the system temperature is too high.
