Ed301/8 series is a wet‑type, piston‑type electro‑hydraulic thruster (also called electro‑hydraulic pusher), mainly used as the actuation unit for various industrial drum brakes, wheel brakes, and mechanical holding devices.
Basic Identification
Model: Ed301/8
Type: Electro‑hydraulic thruster / pusher
Structure: Wet multi‑disc, oil‑immersed motor
Working medium: Special hydraulic oil
Function: Provide pushing force to release brakes
Key Parameters
Rated pushing force: 3000 N
Working stroke: 80 mm
Motor power: Typically matched with standard three‑phase AC 380 V, 50 Hz
Duty cycle: Suitable for frequent starting and long‑time operation
Protection class: IP65 or higher
Working Principle
When energized, the built‑in submersible motor drives an impeller to generate hydraulic pressure.
Hydraulic pressure pushes the piston and push rod to extend outward.
This thrust is used to release spring‑applied brakes.
When de‑energized, hydraulic pressure disappears; the return spring retracts the push rod, allowing the brake to close.
Features
Stable thrust, smooth action, low noise
Suitable for high‑frequency operation
Good sealing, long service life, maintenance‑free
Normally matched with YWZ, YWZ9, YFX series brakes
Reliable performance in harsh industrial environments
Applications
Used as the driving element for various electro‑hydraulic drum brakes
Hoisting machinery, cranes, port machinery, metallurgical equipment
Any mechanism requiring electro‑hydraulic actuation and release
