There are many kinds of brakes used in cranes. According to the structural characteristics of the brake can be divided into block type, belt type and disc type 3. Block brake is widely used in hoisting cranes. Lifting machinery in lifting, amplitude, running and rotating mechanisms must be equipped with brakes. The brake of the lifting mechanism and the amplitude changing mechanism must be normally closed. Two sets of brakes should be installed for each set of driving devices for lifting hot metal or dangerous goods such as flammable and explosive, and lifting mechanisms that may cause significant danger or loss after an accident.
The vast majority of crane brakes work under complex, repetitive - short working conditions. This condition is determined by the intermittent mechanical work and the form of random repeated braking of different lengths of time. This condition is particularly obvious for the crane lifting mechanism brake: the crane in the work, to a variety of different weights of the pipe random alternately lift and fall, but also transport, flip heavy objects and according to the required accuracy, the heavy object on the installation position.
Through the analysis of the actual load of the crane brake, it is shown that the following basic factors (load index) can be used to determine the repeated and short working conditions of the brake: initial braking speed V, braking time tr and stopping time tn between braking. The feature of alternating braking of different strengths is also of great significance, which determines that there is a certain volume temperature on the friction plate.
All of the factors mentioned above have a large dispersion relative to their ratings. For example, the analysis of the operation of the lifting mechanism shows that the dispersion of the speed v with respect to its rating depends on the type of mechanical characteristics of the transmission mechanism operating at that instant, the dispersion of the brake operation time, and the type of work to be performed by the crane and the proficiency of the driver.
Adjustment of crane brake:
1.first adjust the positive and negative pull rod, so that the brake plate of the brake tile is tight to the brake wheel;
2.adjust the torque spring, control in the rated torque 1/8 range (test method: use a 12-inch adjustable wrench to jam the bolt on the brake wheel coupling, turn the brake wheel, with a little force to turn the brake wheel can be; Do not move, for too tight, loosen the torque spring, until suitable).
3.dual-drive or four-drive brake adjustment must be adjusted to the same state;
