Working Principle

It is a fail‑safe, normally‑closed brake:

Braking (power off): Built‑in heavy‑duty compression springs apply strong clamping force to the brake shoes, firmly gripping the drum to stop or hold the load.

Release (power on): The DT‑710 AC electromagnet is energized, generating magnetic force to overcome spring tension. It retracts the brake shoes via a lever mechanism, freeing the drum for rotation.

Automatic wear compensation: Equipped with an equal back‑distance device to maintain consistent braking performance as linings wear.
