TWZ-300 series are foot‑operated, hydraulically actuated drum brakes, mainly used for mechanical braking control in cranes, construction machinery, mining equipment, and other industrial vehicles and machines. They rely on foot pedal hydraulic actuation to provide stable braking force.
Basic Information
Model: TWZ‑300 series
Type: Foot operated hydraulic drum brake
Brake drum diameter: 300 mm
Actuation mode: Foot pedal + hydraulic cylinder
Structure: Normally open, foot‑controlled braking
Working Principle
The operator presses the foot pedal, which drives a hydraulic master cylinder to build pressure.
Hydraulic pressure pushes the brake cylinder to expand the brake shoes.
The shoes press against the inner surface of the 300 mm diameter brake drum, creating friction to slow or stop the mechanism.
Releasing the foot pedal removes hydraulic pressure; return springs retract the shoes, releasing the brake.
Main Features
Foot operation: Direct human control, simple and intuitive.
Hydraulic actuation: Smooth, stable braking force, good adjustability.
Compact structure: Suitable for space‑limited installations.
Reliable performance: Stable friction material, long service life.
Easy maintenance: Simple shoe replacement and clearance adjustment.
Typical Applications
Cranes, hoists, and winches
Construction machinery
Mining and conveying equipment
Small to medium industrial machinery requiring manual foot braking
