Installation
Do not lift the brake by the pull rod.
Clean brake wheel; no oil, grease or dirt on rubbing surface.
Base mounting hole center offset vs wheel center ≤ 1.5 mm.
Slip brake onto wheel, support arms with adjusting rod, then tighten base.
After fitting, set spring preload to required torque mark on spring tube.
With brake open, adjust both-side clearance equal. If equal-clearance linkage fitted, close the brake and lock the linkage bolts to auto-equalize.
Run no-load cycles on host machine to seat the lining; effective contact area after running-in ≥ 70%.
Adjustment
Braking torque: release spring force to min, turn spring rod to align spring seat to required torque scale, lock nuts.
Clearance: adjust bolts so both shoes back off equally.
Thruster stroke: measure lift H1. As lining wears H1 decreases. When H1 reaches H1min, re-set stroke. Never run below H1min.
Compensator: with thruster energized to working stroke, set the adjuster so its arc touches the lever, then lock. With thruster de-energized it returns to Hmax.
Optional Devices (order codes)
M - automatic lining wear compensation (standard in A version)
K1 - release (open) limit switch
K2 - closed (brake-on) limit switch
K3 - lining wear limit switch
S1 - manual release lever, left
S2 - manual release lever, right
F - anti-corrosion type
non-standard voltage/frequency
Order example: YWZ9-300/E30A-M.K3.S1.F.440V60Hz
Pre-Operation Check
Wheel diameter = 300 mm, hub width vs C = 160 mm, A630/H605/K250 envelope clear.
Spring preload on scale, inside 250–400 N·m range.
Both-side clearance equal.
Thruster wiring correct, voltage matches nameplate.
No oil on wheel and lining.
Limit switches and manual release move freely if fitted.
