How To Maintain YWZ4 Electro Hydraulic Brake

First, important information
1.1 Safety instructions
An  electric hydraulic drum brake (hereinafter referred to as a brake) is a  device that applies pressure to a brake wheel through a brake pad  (friction pad) to decelerate and/or stop braking of the rotating  mechanism. During  the braking process, the mechanical energy of the moving object is  absorbed and converted into heat energy on the surface of the friction  pair to be radiated to the surroundings.
The  necessary preconditions for the brake to work properly are: 1. The  relevant components that apply pressure to the friction pad and transmit  to the brake wheel operate normally; 2. The friction coefficient  between the brake cladding pressure, the friction pad and the brake  wheel is at the design value. Within the scope. If  any preconditions are not met, the brakes will not work properly and  the malfunction will cause the equipment to be partially or completely  out of control, causing the load to fall freely, and/or causing personal  injury or even life loss!
In  order to ensure the normal operation of the brakes and to avoid  personal injury accidents, the following principles and requirements  (not limited to this) should be kept in mind and fully understood and  observed by the brake design selector and operation and maintenance:
(1)  Newly installed brakes (or gaskets) that have not been fully run-to-run  because the brake pads are not well fitted to the brake wheels, and the  braking torque may be only half or less of the rated torque;
(2)  Brakes for main lifting or similar mechanisms shall have a braking  torque of at least twice the actual load moment on the brake shaft;
(3)  Read and understand the contents of this manual carefully before  installing, using or maintaining the brakes and strictly follow the  methods and procedures of this manual;
(4)  The brake spring cannot be loosened at will, ensuring that the braking  torque of the brake is consistent with the design requirements;
(5)  Do not allow any oil, paint, grease or other impurities to adhere to or  spatter on the brake surface of the brake wheel and/or brake pad;
(6)  Under the working condition of the brake, even if the braked machine  has stopped, the brake wheel, brake pad and adjacent parts cannot be  touched to prevent the heat generated by the brake from burning the  skin; do not touch or approach the rotating brake wheel, Shaft  joints and / or couplings; can not let objects fall on the rotating  brake wheel, in order to prevent the object from being thrown out by the  centrifugal force; as far as possible, add a protective cover over all  the brake discs and the coupling;
(7) When the brake is working normally, do not use the manual release lever to open the brake (see section 6.2 of the manual).
(8)  Cannot approach or enter the lower area of the lifting cargo to  prevent the sudden failure of the brake and cause the cargo to fall and  cause injury to the person or life;
(9) Use only spare parts approved by the company or the company;
(10) Do not cover the brake sign and warning signs with paint or other contaminants.
1.2 Limited Warranty Liability
The  company guarantees that within one year from the delivery of the  product to the orderer, the design, manufacture, materials and processes  of the product will not cause defects that affect its function and use.  During  the warranty period, the company is responsible for replacing or  repairing any products that have been verified to be defective by our  testing. The product is returned by the user to the company or an  authorized service station and maintains its integrity. In  addition, the company makes no other express or implied warranties,  including (but not limited to) the design, status or workmanship of the  product and the implied warranties for the intended use.
To  the extent permitted by applicable law, the company shall not be liable  for any special, indirect, accidental or incidental damages (including  but not limited to: transportation costs, loss of profits, damage to  property, loss of products, loss of life or personal injury). In any case, the maximum liability of the company is limited to the sales price of the product. This  Limited Warranty is void if the product is damaged or defective due to  improper installation or maintenance, use or mishandling, or accidents.
The  brakes can only be maintained or operated by carefully reading and  fully understanding the operating instructions, manuals and warnings on  the brakes in this user manual. However,  this information does not ensure that all possible disasters or  accidents have been announced. It is the responsibility of the user to  truly understand the dangers in the operation of the brakes and to  properly maintain them, based on Section 1.1 safety instructions. maintain.

Second, an overview
YWZ4,  YWZ4-A (YWZ3B) series electric hydraulic drum brakes (hereinafter  referred to as brakes), suitable for three-phase AC, frequency 50HZ,  voltage 380V or (60HZ, 460V) power grid (special circumstances should be  specified when ordering) use. It  is mainly used for deceleration and parking brake of various mechanisms  in various lifting, belt transportation, port handling and  metallurgical machinery.
Third, the conditions of use:
3.1 Ambient temperature: -25 °C ~ +40 °C (see the instruction manual of the pusher when it is lower than -25 °C);
3.2  There shall be no flammable, explosive and corrosive gases in the  surrounding working environment, and the relative humidity of the air  shall not exceed 90%;
3.3 The altitude of the place of use is in accordance with GB755-2000.
3.4 See the pusher nameplate for details on the power supply voltage.
Fourth, the structure and working principle:
YWZ4,  YWZ4-A (YWZ3B) series electric hydraulic drum brakes are composed of  two parts: the brake frame and the matched ED or YT1 electric hydraulic  pusher. The  working principle is as follows: when the mechanism is powered off and  stops working, the brake driving device-the pusher is also powered off  (or delayed power-off), and the driving is stopped (thrust elimination),  at which time the spring force of the brake spring passes through two The  side brake arm is transmitted to the brake shoe to generate a  predetermined pressure on the brake cover and establish a prescribed  braking torque to act as a brake; when the mechanism is energized, the  brake pusher is also energized and rapidly driven. Sufficient  thrust is generated to push the push rod, forcing the brake spring to  further compress, and the brake arm is outwardly extended to both sides,  so that the brake pad brake cover is disengaged from the brake wheel,  and the brake cover pressure and braking torque are eliminated. Stop braking.
Various limit (interlock) switches can be added according to user needs. He is often required for modern lifting and efficient handling equipment. The  function of the limit switch is to provide monitoring (fault display)  or interlock protection signals for certain states of the brake to the  driver's cab (control room) or PLC control.
The YWZ4 series can be equipped with our ED or YT1 series electric hydraulic pushers. (According  to the user's needs, correctly understand the working conditions and  detailed parameters of the ED and YT1 series pushers, refer to the  product parameter table for selection); YWZ4-A series is equipped with  the company's YT1 series pusher. There are two types of brake pads installed: riveted and plug-in.
Fifth, the installation and commissioning of the brake
The  brake should be installed correctly, otherwise it will affect the  normal use of the brake, so please follow the methods and procedures of  this manual when installing the user. 5.1 Inspection before installation:
5.1.1 Inspection of the brake:
a. Whether the various parts of the brake are complete;
b. Whether the brake action is sensitive;
c. Whether the friction surface of the brake pad is stained with oil, paint and other impurities that affect the friction.
d.  Check the installed brakes, whether the selection (including the power  supply voltage, frequency and pusher model) meets the requirements.
If the above requirements are not met, the installation must be completed after the solution is resolved.
5.1.2 Inspection of the brake wheel:
a.  There shall be no defects such as rust, oil, or smoothness on the  surface of the brake wheel. It is strictly forbidden to use the brake  wheel that has cracks or other serious defects.
b. When  the brake wheel rotates around the axis, its radial runout: when the  wheel diameter is ≤250, it is not more than 0.1, 250< wheel diameter  ≤500, not more than 0.12, 500< wheel diameter ≤800, not more than  0.15;
c.  The surface roughness of the brake wheel is 3.2. If the surface is too  rough or too smooth, it will cause a difference in braking performance.
5.1.3 Construction and inspection of the brake mounting base:
a. The mounting base of the brake should be stable and flat, and the position of the mounting hole should be accurate;
b.  If the brake mounting base is installed with the brake, the base and  the brake should be fixed (welded or bolted) after the brake is  initially installed.
c.  If the brake mounting base has not yet been machined, the brake should  be installed in the correct position after the initial installation of  the brake, and then fix the brake; the mounting base of the brake base  and the relative position of the hole and the brake wheel The tolerance (see Figure 1) shall not exceed the requirements of Table 1.
