Ed630/12 Electro-hydraulic thruster
Ed630/12 is a heavy‑duty electro‑hydraulic thruster from the Ed series (also called Eldro thruster), complying with DIN 15430. It integrates a motor, centrifugal pump and hydraulic cylinder into one compact unit, used primarily to actuate spring‑applied drum/disc brakes (e.g., YWZ4/YWZ8/YWZ9).

2. Working Principle
Power ON (Release): The built‑in motor drives a centrifugal pump, building hydraulic pressure to extend the push rod with 6300 N force. This overcomes the brake's spring force and releases the brake.
Power OFF (Brake): The motor stops, pressure drops, and the brake's return spring retracts the rod, applying the brake (fail‑safe).
