Normally closed design. When power cuts or Ed thruster de-energizes, internal main springs instantly clamp both brake shoes onto the Ø200mm drum from both sides. Zero external energy required to stop the load - your automatic safety barrier on every crane and conveyor.
✔ Ed30/5 Thruster - 30% More Thrust Than Ed23/5
23kgf → 30kgf of push force. Engineered for heavier loads and higher friction demand. IP65 sealed motor, class F insulation, HZ/TZ dual-travel. Smooth release, low shock, rated ≥800,000 cycles.
✔ Upgraded YWZ8 Frame - No More Shoe Chatter
The YWZ8 series re-proportions the lever ratio and thickens the brake housing to 18mm cast steel. Tested at 120% of rated torque - shoes stay seated even at high drum RPM. Eliminates the shoe-judder and drum-scrub problems common on YWZ4-200 units.
✔ Auto Equal Clearance + Self-Lubricating Pivots
Both shoes retract evenly on opening. All 4 pivot pins use oil-free self-lubricating bushings - no daily greasing. Card-lock insert linings (no riveting) cut on-site change time to under 10 minutes.
Products Description
The YWZ8-200/E30 is a heavy-duty normally closed electro-hydraulic drum brake, the upgraded sibling of the YWZ4 series, designed for medium-to-heavy duty braking on 5–10 ton bridge/gantry cranes, belt conveyor head pulleys, and winch/trolley drives.
It combines a spring for braking force with an Ed30/5 electro-hydraulic thruster for release. Electricity is used ONLY to open the brake - the spring does all the stopping work. This is why it is called "fail-safe": remove the power and the brake engages automatically.
