DJPZ-80 Motor Disc Brake | Compact Fail-Safe Motor Brake
DJPZ-80 is compact integrated electromagnetic disc brake from DJPZ series. It is normally closed fail-safe brake, designed to mount directly on the non-drive end of IEC80 frame motors, widely used for power-off emergency stop, shaft locking and precise positioning of YEJ motors, servo motors and gear reducers.

Product Overview
DJPZ-80 motor disc brake adopts spring applied braking, electromagnetic release fail-safe principle, DC coil driving. It is assembled on the rear end cover of IEC80 motor directly, compact integrated structure without extra installation space.
When energized, DC coil creates magnetic force to attract armature and compress the preloaded spring, friction disc gets released, motor shaft can rotate freely. Once power failure or power cut happens, electromagnet loses magnetism instantly. The compression spring pushes armature to press tightly against friction disc, generating friction torque to stop motor rotation and lock the shaft firmly.
Optional manual release lever for manual shaft turning and maintenance during power-off condition. It features fast response, low noise and stable braking torque, widely adopted in automation equipment requiring accurate positioning and power-off safety protection.

Working Principle
Power-on Release (Normal Operation State)When the brake coil is energized, electromagnetic force pulls the armature plate and compresses the preload spring. The friction disc is loosened, brake released, motor shaft can rotate normally without braking resistance.
Power-off Braking & Shaft Locking (Emergency & Parking State)Once power supply is cut off, the electromagnet loses magnetic attraction immediately. Pre-compressed springs push armature plate to clamp friction disc tightly. Stable friction braking torque is generated to stop motor rapidly and lock the shaft, preventing load slipping and safety risks.
