The DJPZ series is a motor disc brake, meaning it is integrated directly with the electric motor.
Type: Electromagnetic / Spring-Applied (Fail-Safe).
Operation:
Release (Brake Off): When the motor is powered, DC voltage is supplied to the electromagnetic coil. This creates a magnetic field that attracts the armature, compressing the spring and releasing the brake disc.
Brake (Brake On): When power is cut, the electromagnetic force disappears. The spring force pushes the armature against the friction disc, generating the braking torque to stop the motor.
Manual Release: The brake is equipped with a manual release mechanism, allowing for manual operation during maintenance or emergency situations.1
