SBD100-A Emergency Safety Brake

Spring-applied, hydraulically released. When power fails, hydraulic pressure drops, and disc springs automatically clamp the brake disc. No external energy required for braking - your last line of defense against load drop.

Rated clamping force 72 kN (calculated braking torque up to 57.6 kN·m with Φ800 disc). Engineered for heavy-duty low-speed shaft applications where failure is not an option.

Asbestos-free friction pads, IP65 protection, salt-fog resistant coating. Proven in coastal port cranes, underground mine winders, and steel plant overhead cranes.

The SBD100-A​ is a normally closed, fail-safe disc brake​ designed for emergency and parking braking on low-speed shafts of hoisting machinery. It is spring-applied and hydraulically released - meaning the brake is always engaged by default​ and only opens when hydraulic pressure is present.

Installed on the output shaft side of gearboxes or directly on drum shafts, it acts as the final safety barrier​ to prevent uncontrolled load descent in case of motor failure, power loss, or hydraulic system fault.
