Working Principle

This brake is mainly composed of a brake frame and an electromagnet, and its working process is divided into two states: brake release and braking, with a manual emergency release function as a supplement:

Brake Release: When the electromagnet is connected to the specified power supply (usually AC 380V, 50Hz; customized voltage can also be provided), the electromagnet generates an electromagnetic force instantly. This force compresses the internal spring and pulls the electromagnet in. Then, under the drive of the pull rod connected to the electromagnet, the left and right brake arms drive the friction blocks to open quickly. At this time, a certain gap is maintained between the brake blocks and the brake disc, which will not produce friction resistance, and the mechanical equipment can operate normally.

Braking Implementation: Once the power is cut off due to equipment shutdown, power failure or system failure, the electromagnetic force of the electromagnet disappears immediately. The compressed spring rebounds rapidly and pushes the left and right brake arms. Then the brake arms drive the friction blocks to close and clamp the brake disc tightly. The friction force generated between the friction blocks and the brake disc decelerates or stops the rotation of the brake disc, thus realizing the braking of the connected mechanical transmission mechanism and preventing the equipment from sliding or colliding due to inertia.

Manual Emergency Release: The brake is also equipped with a manual release mechanism. When the equipment has an unexpected power outage or needs urgent manual intervention during debugging and maintenance, technicians can manually release the brake, which ensures the flexibility and safety of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
