Key Components and Operation:

• Foot Pedal: The operator uses a foot pedal to activate the brake system. This hands-free operation allows crane operators to maintain control over other crane functions (e.g., hoisting or trolley movement) while applying braking force.
• Hydraulic System: The foot pedal drives a hydraulic pump, which generates hydraulic pressure. This pressure is transmitted through hoses to the brake assembly, converting mechanical input into hydraulic force.
• Drum Brake Assembly: The hydraulic pressure actuates brake shoes inside a rotating drum attached to the crane's drive mechanism (e.g., wheels or hoist drum). When engaged, the brake shoes press against the drum's inner surface, creating friction to slow or halt motion.
