The DYW300-750 is an Exd I explosion-protected electro-hydraulic drum brake (rated drum diameter 300 mm, braking torque 750 N·m), designed for underground coal mines and explosive atmospheres to provide fail-safe deceleration/parking braking for conveyors, hoists, and mining equipment, certified to GB3836.1/2-2010 and MT912-2008.

Structure & Working Principle

Structure: Explosion-proof thruster + brake frame + left/right brake shoes + return springs + auto-clearance balancing device + sealed spring tube + self-lubricating hinges.

Fail-Safe Operation:

Power-on: Thruster lifts pushrod, compresses brake spring, retracts shoes (brake released).

Power-off: Thruster loses pressure; return springs push shoes against drum (brake engaged).

Installation & Maintenance

Installation:

Mount on a rigid base; ensure drum concentricity (runout ≤0.15 mm) and thruster pushrod alignment.

Use certified explosion-proof cables and proper grounding; keep flameproof surfaces clean/undamaged.

Fill thruster with ISO VG 32/46 hydraulic oil to level mark; bleed air before commissioning.

Maintenance:

Daily: Check thruster oil level, leaks, and abnormal noise; clean surface and air breather.

6 months: Inspect oil quality; replace if degraded.

12 months: Overhaul thruster seals; check motor insulation (≥2 MΩ); verify flameproof joint gaps.

Replace liners when thickness <5 mm; never modify flameproof components.
