DC Magnet - No AC Hum, No Arc, Explosion-Friendlier

MWZ200-160 runs on DC 220V​ through a DT-200 linear energy-saving electromagnet. No 50Hz alternating flux, no coil buzz, no AC contactor arc. Inherently quieter and safer than AC brakes (JZ/TJ2) in coal mine, chemical, and dusty zones​ - pair with a rectifier module (AC 380V in → DC 220V out) and you get DC benefits on an AC site.

Fail-Safe, Spring-Applied - Power Off = Brake On

Normally closed. Main spring (60Si2MnA) holds 160 N·m. DC coil only to RELEASE. Blackout / E-stop / contactor drop → spring clamps Ø200 drum in ≤0.3s. Same safety logic as YW/QW/JZ, but with zero AC electrical noise​ on the control loop.

Dual-Current Coil: 2A Inrush, 0.02A Hold

DT-200 draws 2.0A for ~0.1s to pull in, then drops to 0.02A holding current​ via internal economizer. Coil temp rise <40K at 1200 cyc/h - far cooler than old MZD1/MZD2 AC magnets. Magnet life ≥15,000 working hours

The MWZ200-160​ is the DC-powered variant of the MW(Z) electromagnetic drum brake family​ - "MW" = AC version, "MWZ" = DC version, identical brake frame, different magnet electrical design. It is the right spec when:

Site already runs a DC control bus​ (mine hoist, DC crane, battery-powered equipment)
Acoustic noise or AC arc sparking is unacceptable (underground, paint shop, instrument room)
You want JZ-200's 160 N·m and 1200 cyc/h, but on DC 220V/110V/24V
Retrofitting legacy TJ2-200/200 fleets where the panel can add a small rectifier
