CQP-A Series Pneumatic Disc Brake
✔ Normally Open - Air to Clamp, Air Off to Release
CQP-A is a normally open pneumatic caliper disc brake. With no air supply, the brake pads retract and the disc rotates freely. Apply compressed air (4–6 bar) → both caliper arms close simultaneously → pads clamp the brake disc. Designed specifically for clamping, tensioning, and holding duty - the opposite logic of a fail-safe emergency brake.
✔ Air Pressure = Clamping Force (Infinitely Adjustable)
Clamping force scales linearly with air pressure. One turn of your regulator valve changes force from light positioning to full-load braking. No spring preload adjustment, no torque scale guessing. One caliper covers multiple duty levels.
✔ Zero Oil / Spark-Free / Explosion-Friendly
Pure pneumatic actuation - no hydraulic oil, no electric motor on the caliper. No combustible fluid, no ignition source. Inherently safe for coal mine, chemical plant, flour mill, paint shop. Optional Ex d flameproof solenoid valve available.

The CQP-A Series is a range of pneumatic caliper disc brakes built for work-holding, tension control, and positioning applications where fail-safe stopping is NOT the primary requirement. Instead of "stop the load when power fails," CQP-A answers: "hold this load exactly where it is, with adjustable force, as long as air is supplied."
