Operating Principle

• The operation of the YFX700/80 Model Electro-Hydraulic Storm Braking Wedges Braking System is based on the principle of converting electrical energy into hydraulic pressure, which is then used to actuate the braking wedges. When a braking command is issued, the electro-hydraulic control unit receives an electrical signal and activates the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump generates pressure, which is transmitted through the hydraulic lines to the hydraulic actuators.
• The hydraulic actuators then move the braking wedges into engagement with the braking surface, creating friction and generating the braking force. The magnitude of the braking force can be precisely controlled by adjusting the hydraulic pressure, allowing for smooth and gradual braking or rapid stopping as required. When the braking command is removed, the electro-hydraulic control unit deactivates the hydraulic pump, and the hydraulic pressure is released. The braking wedges are then retracted by springs or other mechanical means, allowing the machinery or equipment to resume normal operation.
