1. Installation Methods

YJGQ series hydraulic rail clamps are windproof anti-slip safety devices specially matched for outdoor gantry cranes, container rail trolleys and yard rail equipment. Horizontal rail waist side clamping is the standard installation mode, customized vertical transition brackets can be supplied for cranes with narrow horizontal mounting space.

Standard Horizontal Rail Side Mounting

Secure the integrated cast clamp base rigidly to the cart/trolley frame with high-strength anti-loose bolts. Align upper and lower friction pads symmetrically to the top and bottom surfaces of the rail waist to realize full uniform contact during clamping.

Mount the dedicated hydraulic driving cylinder horizontally on the side of the clamp body. Ensure the piston push rod moves linearly without deflection to output stable and balanced clamping force.

Reserve sufficient operation space outside the track for friction pad replacement, idle clearance adjustment and regular cylinder maintenance.

Arrange multiple rail clamps symmetrically on both sides of the track according to wind load calculation, so as to avoid unilateral stress and sliding deviation of the crane under strong wind.

Optional Custom Vertical Installation

Applicable to compact trolley frames with insufficient horizontal layout space. Special vertical transition brackets are required for assembly. After installation, inspect the reset spring tension and cylinder piston stroke to prevent incomplete rail clamping or delayed release action.

Key Installation Requirements

All sliding guide pairs adopt maintenance-free self-lubricating wear sleeves, eliminating frequent manual greasing.

Thoroughly clear mud, rust, dust and oil stains on the rail waist surface before commissioning; grease contamination will greatly reduce friction coefficient and windproof safety.

Adjust the idle gap between friction pads and the rail via built-in fine-tuning bolts, standard idle clearance: 3–10 mm.

Working principle: Feed high-pressure hydraulic oil into the cylinder to drive the clamping jaw to grip the rail for windproof locking; cut off hydraulic pressure, built-in reset springs open the jaws to release the rail for crane travelling. Energy storage spring hydraulic cylinder is optional to achieve fail-safe power-off automatic clamping.

Lay hydraulic hoses with gentle bends; install filter elements in the oil circuit to block impurities and avoid cylinder jamming caused by dirt.
