1. Installation Methods

ZYTJX series hydraulic rail clamps are dedicated windproof and anti-slip safety devices for outdoor rail cranes. Horizontal side clamping installation on the rail waist is the standard layout, custom vertical transition brackets can be provided for special crane beam narrow-space layouts.

Standard Horizontal Rail Side Mounting

Fix the integral clamp base firmly to the cart or trolley frame of the crane with high-strength anti-loose bolts. Align the upper and lower friction blocks symmetrically to the top and bottom surfaces of the rail waist to achieve full-surface uniform clamping contact.

Install the hydraulic cylinder horizontally on the side of the clamp body. Ensure the piston push rod moves horizontally without deflection to deliver stable clamping force during hydraulic pressurization.

Reserve sufficient maintenance space outside the rail for friction block replacement, idle gap adjustment and cylinder inspection and maintenance.

Arrange multiple rail clamps symmetrically on both sides of the crane track according to wind load calculation to balance wind resistance and prevent unilateral sliding deviation.

Optional Custom Vertical Mounting

Suitable for gantry cranes, container rail trolleys with limited horizontal installation space. Custom vertical transition brackets are required for assembly. After installation, recheck the cylinder reset spring elasticity and piston stroke to avoid incomplete clamping or delayed release.

Core Installation Requirements

All sliding guide pairs adopt maintenance-free self-lubricating wear-resistant sleeves to reduce daily maintenance workload.

Completely clean rust, mud, dust and oil stains on the rail waist surface before commissioning; oil contamination will drastically reduce friction coefficient and windproof safety performance.

Adjust the idle gap between friction blocks and the rail through built-in fine-tuning bolts, standard idle clearance range: 3–10 mm.

Working principle: Input high-pressure hydraulic oil into the cylinder to drive the clamping mechanism, so upper and lower friction blocks tightly grip the rail for windproof locking; cut off hydraulic pressure, the built-in reset spring opens the clamping jaws to release the rail for crane traveling. Spring energy storage hydraulic cylinders are optional for fail-safe power-off locking.

Hydraulic pipelines should be laid with gentle bends, avoiding excessively long pipelines to prevent slow clamping response. Install oil filter elements in the oil circuit to block impurities and prevent cylinder jamming.
