DJPZ motor electromagnetic disc brakes are standardly coaxially mounted on motor rear fan covers, with custom flanges available for special shafts. Matched with built-in rectifier DC electromagnets, manual release levers and status limit switches; quick-replace friction pads and spare coil rectifiers are regular wearing spares. Explosion-proof assemblies, custom flanges and dust covers are optional accessories for various industrial motor supporting scenarios.

1. Installation Methods

DJPZ series integrated motor electromagnetic disc brakes are specially designed to be directly assembled on the rear end of three-phase asynchronous motors. Axial coaxial mounting on motor fan cover is the standard installation form, and customized adapter flanges are available for special motor models with non-standard dimensions.

Standard Coaxial Motor Rear Mounting

Remove the original motor fan and fan cover first. Fix the brake's mounting flange tightly on the motor end cover with matching high-strength connecting bolts, ensuring the brake central axis is fully coaxial with the motor rotor shaft to eliminate eccentric vibration during operation.

The brake disc is sleeved on the motor shaft and locked with a shaft key and fastening nut; guarantee no radial or axial sliding of the disc during motor rotation.

Keep the entire brake caliper body parallel to the brake disc surface, and adjust symmetric equal clearance between friction pads and the disc on both sides to prevent dragging friction and abnormal heating.

Reserve tiny peripheral space only for pad replacement and gap adjustment, as this brake is compactly integrated with the motor; no extra large maintenance space is required.

Custom Non-Standard Flange Mounting

For rebuilt motors, speed reducers and special drive shafts that cannot adopt standard rear fan-side installation, custom transition flanges can be supplied to realize vertical or separated horizontal installation. After assembly, recheck coaxiality and pad clearance to avoid abnormal noise.

Core Installation Requirements

All sliding guide structures adopt maintenance-free self-lubricating sleeves, no regular greasing needed.

Thoroughly clean oil, dust and rust on the brake disc surface before power-on test run; grease contamination will greatly weaken friction performance.

Standard single-side friction pad clearance is controlled at 0.3–0.8 mm via built-in fine adjustment screws.

Fail-safe working logic: When the motor is energized synchronously, the built-in DC electromagnet generates magnetic suction to pull the caliper open and release the brake; once power cuts off, preloaded compression springs push pads to clamp the disc for instant motor holding braking.

Standard power supply: DC96V / DC170V; integrated rectifier inside the brake supports direct AC380V input from the motor circuit.
