Disc cooling is effective, allowing the brakes to hold up even in high frequency use. Minimized temperature rises mean less wear to the pads and a longer service life, despite their small surface.
●Compact and Inexpensive
The external shape of the discs is not restricted and they can be made as large as permissible, so disc brakes can be made more compactly than drum brakes.
●Install General Purpose Motors Easily
Only a simple modification is needed to install a brake to an existing motor.
