SB SBD Series Emergency Crane Brake

This brake is mainly used for emergency safety braking of the low-speed axis of the main hoisting mechanism and boom tilting mechanism of large and medium-sized cranes, or working braking and emergency braking of the driving mechanism of large and medium-sized hoisting hoists and inclined belt conveyors, and the safe braking of the driving mechanism of the cable car and the cable crane.


Main design features:

1. Normally closed design, safe and reliable. Special disc spring applies force to brake and hydraulic drive releases.

2. The action is sensitive and the closing time is short.

3. Both the opening limit switch and the gasket wear limit limit switch can be set at the factory, and the interlock protection and fault display can be carried out (when PLC control is adopted).

4. High-performance non-asbestos hard friction pad. The friction coefficient is stable, does not damage the brake disc and is insensitive to water media and salt spray (sea water).

5. Reasonable sealing structure design and imported famous brand seals, good effect and long life.


The working principle of the brake:

When the hydraulic station supplies pressure oil to the brake cylinder under the command of the control system, it pushes the piston to move outward and further compresses the disc spring. The brake shoe is detached from the brake disc under the traction of the piston rod, and the braking torque is eliminated. When the hydraulic station connects to the oil return channel under the control of the system command, the pressure oil returns to the oil tank of the hydraulic station under the action of the disc spring force. The piston and the piston rod move to the brake disc side, and the disc spring force is transmitted to the brake disc through the brake shoe to generate a prescribed braking torque.
